Recent Advances in Synergy Among SNARE Proteins and Multi-Subunit Tethering Complexes (MTCs) in Vesicle Trafficking and Plant Development

چکیده
Plants comprise an expanded endomembrane system, and transport within the network requires well-organized accurate vesicle transport. Tethering complexes facilitate early, exact contact among donor acceptor membranes, operate to bring vesicles into a closer proximity for trans-SNARE complex assembly docking; these are classified as either long coiled-coil proteins or multi-subunit tethering (MTCs). Numerous MTCs that function at different membrane trafficking steps have been recognized, where they significant interfaces between SNARE proteins, Rabs, phosphoinositides. assemble catalyze fusion target membrane. Studies of diverse provided further valuable information about vacuole biogenesis vacuolar pathways related cell-type specificity, plant development, growth, developed specific traffic route overcome environmental stress. In conclusion, tethers' selective recruitment during is controlled via small GTPases, such those in RAB family. The promote by direct interactions MTC subunits with Q-SNAREs. This review summarized new complexes, highlight insights function, discuss current debates future perspectives.

CAPS and Munc13: CATCHRs that SNARE Vesicles
CAPS (Calcium-dependent Activator Protein for Secretion, aka CADPS) and Munc13 (Mammalian Unc-13) proteins function to prime vesicles for Ca(2+)-triggered exocytosis in neurons and neuroendocrine cells. CAPS and Munc13 proteins contain conserved C-terminal domains that promote the assembly of SNARE complexes for vesicle priming. Similarities of the C-terminal domains of CAPS/Munc13 proteins wit...
متن کاملVesicle tethering complexes in membrane traffic.
Despite the recent progress in the field of membrane traffic, the question of how the specificity of membrane fusion is achieved has yet to be resolved. It has become apparent that the SNARE proteins, although central to the process of fusion, are often not the first point of contact between a vesicle and its target. Instead, a poorly understood tethering process physically links the two before...
متن کاملA Structure-Based Mechanism for Vesicle Capture by the Multisubunit Tethering Complex Dsl1
Vesicle trafficking requires membrane fusion, mediated by SNARE proteins, and upstream events that probably include "tethering," an initial long-range attachment between a vesicle and its target organelle. Among the factors proposed to mediate tethering are a set of multisubunit tethering complexes (MTCs). The Dsl1 complex, with only three subunits, is the simplest known MTC and is essential fo...
